Small Building Works
Please have a look below at some previous work we have undertaken.

The conversion of a set of old stables into an office / games room in Ugley Green.
The internal walls were removed, the existing cladding replaced with weatherboard, insulation of the walls and the ceiling boarded out. Double glazed windows and french doors were installed. The floor was sealed, insulated and boarded, then laid with LVT flooring. It was completed with new, recessed lighting, heaters and an open storage unit sized for sealed storage boxes. The attached carport was also refurbished, adding new access to the existing storage room.
We have subsequently replaced the bathroom, removed walls to open up the kitchen and hallway along with repair and redecoration of the exterior of the house.
Replacement of an old precast concrete garage in Stansted Mountfitchet that was on the verge of collapse.
It was replaced with a timber framed construction, cloaked with cement board cladding set on a blockwork wall with a set of double doors. A lightweight roof was installed to leave the building almost maintenance-free. Repairs were also carried out to the neighbouring shed at the same time.

Construction of a new tractor shed and log store for a listed house in Ugley Green. A steel reinforced concrete slab was laid and a dwarf wall built using reclaimed bricks to match the existing house. A stud work wall was built and sloped rafters were secured to the existing building. The walls were boarded, membraned, battened and clad with weatherboards. The roof was membraned, battened and covered in welsh slate. A set of solid double doors and ventilated base and rear for the log store were added. A surface drain was also installed along with improved drainage that resolved a long term issue of flooding on the driveway.
Part of a larger estate, 'Fyfield Hall' (the main house is the oldest timber-framed home in the country), this was a very large outbuilding, which had become derelict and dangerous. All bar the steel frame and block work end wall was removed. A course of blockwork was laid and a new timber frame was built to the existing steel one and then clad in weatherboard. The roof was boarded out to strengthen the building and a new design, a very lightweight composite tiling system was laid. Both sets of sliding doors were renovated as were the windows, while the blockwork was repaired and the whole building painted inside and out.
This was originally a double garage on a house in Sawbridgeworth. The existing up-and-over door and frame were removed and an exterior wall was built along with an internal dividing wall. The floor was insulated and an underfloor heating system put in. The walls were all insulated and boarded out and the floor in the gym was fully tiled. The exterior wall was rendered and part glazed double doors installed. A solid door for the store room was added, which was waterproofed and racked out for windsurfing boards etc.
We have carried out many different jobs for this family both inside and out ranging from a 10' x 8' shoe rack display to a large pergola that had to be replaced while supporting a 40 year old wisteria!
Refurbishment of an existing carport etc. in Bishop's Stortford.
The roof was removed and extensive repairwork carried out to the existing framework. A new reinforced UV stable roof was installed. The front gates were renovated and it was then redecorated.

This is part of a very large 42 acre grade II estate, Barrington Hall on the edge of Hatfield Broad Oak. This outbuilding was to become the plant room for the main house. The roof, front and internal walls were removed, and the remaining brick work repaired. A new front wall was constructed and cloaked with a new cladding system. A new roof was installed and a new sets of double doors were hung ready for the installation of four new commercial floor-mounted boliers along with other facilities.
